“The Art of Home: A Designer Guide to Creating an Elevated Yet Approachable Home,” $16.71 with coupon (orig. $39.99)
Orig. $17 $14 at Amazon “Who doesn’t love fresh pillow textiles for an outdoor sofa?” Lindsie Davis, Principal Designer of the Texas-based Blueberry Jones Design, says. “I particularly love the combination of palms and stripes for a playful yet classic look. This set is sold as covers only, which makes it an easy, cost-effective update to pair with your existing pillow inserts. Style these on your patio furnishings for a tasteful summer-chic vibe.”
Orig. $54 $20 at Amazon This Prime Day, Davis recommends looking out for fun, geometric-inspired decor pieces like this fluted planter. “A more sculptural take on traditional planters, this modern plant pot is a must,” Davis says. “Its geometric shapes create visual interest, and it comes in two sizes to style your plants at varied heights. I would pair this planter with a free-flowing, less structured plant to create a fun juxtaposition.”
Orig. $200 $160 at Amazon “Every patio needs a burst of color, in my book,” Davis explains. “This umbrella is such a fun way to introduce a bold hue that contrasts nicely with a lush, green backyard. It has a 360-degree rotation for sun coverage, which is essential as the sun shifts throughout the day. It comes in a range of vibrant colors, but I personally love the cheery yellow.”
Orig. $60 $36 at Amazon Taking a page out of the book of every bistro restaurant in the past year or so, this versatile two-pack of cordless lamp lights can be used just about anywhere in the house, including outside of it, in the yard, too.
“Summer is all about enjoying meals al fresco, followed by long, lingering evenings spent under the stars,” Davis says. “As the sun sets, I like to turn on LED rechargeable lamps that add a soft, glowing ambiance to the scene. These cordless table lamps are the perfect solution for evening outdoor dining all season long.”
Orig. $197 $178 at Amazon “As a designer, I’m all about uncovering styling pieces that offer endless versatility,” Davis explains. This stool from the popular Amazon brand Creative Co-Op measures 20-inches-by-20-inches-by-18-inches, and is as functional as it is decorative. Use it to elevate your feet as you sit, or stack a few books or throw pillows on top of it to create interest.
"This stool is great for extra seating and adds an unexpected textural layer to any room. It would work beautifully at the end of a bed, tucked under a console table, or paired with living room furnishings,” Davis adds. “It’s an anywhere-and-everywhere piece that can easily float from room to room.”
Orig. $698 $559 at Amazon “Great lighting is like the jewelry of a home, and this bubble chandelier makes an absolute statement,” Davis says. “Made of hand-blown ribbed glass, this fun fixture can complement a range of design styles. Add it to a traditional dining room for unexpected charm, over a freestanding bathtub, or in an entryway for a playful first impression. Note that this fixture requires some assembly, but that also means you can personalize it for a custom look.”
Orig. $26 $24 at Amazon Add even more charming glass features to your home with these gorgeous candlestick holders for less than $25.
“I absolutely love these sculptural glass candlestick holders,” Davis says. “They come in a set with varied heights, making them easy to style on a table, mantle, or any open shelving. Designer tip: grouping decorative pieces in sets of three is very pleasing to the eye, making these a total win.”
Orig. $50 $27 at Amazon “Your summer garden florals deserve to be displayed in a beautiful vase,” Davis says, and we couldn’t agree more. “The ribbed detailing and modern shape make this piece a standout, adding a moment of texture anywhere it’s styled. This vase comes in four sizes, so you can choose the right one to complement any arrangement or space.”
Orig. $48 $45 at Amazon According to Davis, “Scallops are a trending design feature, but this scalloped bowl is inherently timeless.” She adds, “Made of solid concrete, this handmade decor doubles as a piece of art, blending durability with aesthetic appeal. Whether styled on a coffee table, console table, or kitchen counter, it’s the perfect piece to make a design-forward statement.”
Orig. $13 $7 at Amazon “Luxe-looking pillow covers are always one of my favorite decor items to snag from Amazon,” Dallas-based shopping expert Jen Reed says. “They’re so inexpensive, and my pro tip is to buy an insert one size too large so that you can achieve a plush, overstuffed look. These look so chic for under $10, and layering different textures and sizes of throw pillows is one of the easiest ways to elevate your space.”
Orig. $300 $268 at Amazon “One of the quickest ways to transform a space is with the right accent chair,” Reed explains. “This boucle set would go well in a living space or even a bedroom [as] the texture of these chairs will really warm up your space and add dimension to any room.”
And it’s not just the texture you’ll instantly love; this cozy chair measures about 32 inches high and 30 inches wide, spacious and cozy enough to fit comfortably whether you’re reading, napping, or just relaxing. Plus, it comes with a circular ottoman that’s large enough to hold a warm throw blanket or comfortable pillow, too.
Orig. $50 $30 at Amazon Speaking of throw blankets, Reed recommends one of her favorites that’s finally on sale for $30. “Amazon has so many great throw blankets on sale right now that look so much more expensive than they are! I recommend going for a chunky knit to add texture and warmth to a space. Add it to the foot of your bed, or draped over a sofa to add a cozy element to your space that still looks well-styled.”
Orig. $30 $12 at Amazon “The kitchen is a tricky space for decor, but I've found that little items in the kitchen go a long way in terms of making your space really come together,” Reed says. “Adding a nice soap dish and caddy to your kitchen like this one…”—which is made of bamboo and a pad made of fast-drying diatomaceous earth that dries in one minute—“...is the perfect way to declutter and brighten up your space.”
Orig. $90 $55 at Amazon “I love Amazon for larger decor items, because they have great designer-inspired items for a fraction of the price,” Reed says. “This mid-century inspired floor lamp adds warmth and texture to any space with ease.”
Not only is it on super sale right now with the help of an on-page coupon, but it’s also a well-loved, often-bought Amazon item that shoppers swear by. In fact, it has nearly 5,500 perfect five-star ratings, an overall Amazon rating of 4.5 stars, and has sold more than 1,000 times in the past month. Add it to your living room or bedroom, or pair it with a comfortable chair or sofa to carve out a reading nook.
Orig. $30 $21 at Amazon “This vase set is so unique and perfect for so many different areas of the home,” Reed says. “Use them on a coffee or side table, in the dining room, or even in the kitchen. I love that these are still neutral but add a layer of interest. Fill with a few simple flowers and you’re all set in any season!”
Orig. $120 $100 at Amazon According to Reed, “A full-length mirror is one of the best ways to really make the most of your space,” and “this one will add light and dimension.” She adds, “It’s neutral, but still feels updated and can work with multiple styles of decor. This is one of my favorite ways to make a small space really work for you and [makes] the space [feel] immediately bigger.”
Orig. $20 $15 at Amazon Chandler Beasley of the Tennessee-based Chandler Beasley Creative is all for getting her inspiration from the greenery outdoors, and while these decorative moss balls may not be living, you’ll love not having to water them. They are, however, totally real—just preserved.
“I love adding moss balls in bowls for extra greenery,” Beasley says. “These preserved moss balls will make your console or coffee table look amazing, and no one will ever know they are from Amazon.”
Orig. $165 $110 at Amazon “This urn has a California Organic style that could easily be sold for four times as much,” Beasley says. “Vases like these are great to add in a more vintage look, and the size of this urn is perfect to use just alone or with added stems.”
Orig. $100 $89 at Amazon Beasley says, “This fabric lamp is a great find and rivals designer-quality lamps without the price tag! It comes in black, as well as white, and is great for nightstands, consoles, or side tables.”
Matte black with very subtle but impactful texture, this table lamp measures 28-inches in height and only weighs 11.2 pounds. If you’re willing to snag two for this underrated sale price, one on a nightstand on each side of the bed would add luxury hotel vibes to your room.
Orig. $329 $239 at Amazon “I love the look of a bistro chair to elevate a space,” Beasley says. “These are great because they are outdoor rated, but can easily be used indoors as well. This is the perfect way to get the palm beach chic look on a budget.”
Orig. $40 $17 at Amazon “Coffee table books are always an awesome go-to for Prime Day,” Beasley explains. “There are so many to choose from, but ‘The Art of Home’ is one of my favorites. Not only is it beautiful for decor, but it is a great reference for styling.”
