Is there anything that can’t be bought on Amazon? Apparently not, which is great news for frustrated house hunters. Instead of showing up at yet another open house to compete with other interested buyers, your new home could come to you. Sound like a pipe dream? It’s not when you purchase a flat pack house from Barn Homes.
For just $35,000 (at the time of writing), you can become a homeowner. The description promises “effortless assembly” and “the luxury of immediate occupancy.” While we’re certain this foldable home will take longer to unpack and assemble than a piece of furniture you’d purchase from Amazon, you’re likely guaranteed to have moved into your new prefab home in a much shorter time than it would take to buy an existing home. Let’s take a closer look.
$31,990 at Amazon Location is important in real estate, and you'll need to secure a good one to install your new home, a hefty haul at nearly 40,000 pounds. The structure is crafted from steel and secured by doors and windows with locks.
While this prefab home might seem small, it contains three bedrooms, along with a bathroom and an open-concept kitchen and living room. (A smaller 20-foot version has two bedrooms.)
Did we mention this packable home has two floors? There are two spacious rooms on the top floor, one of which opens up to a terrace that spans the length of the house. The contemporary design features a striking black roof and siding accented by wood planking and flooring throughout.
“Love this home,” says Amazon customer Christian, who gave their new 40-foot home a five-star rating. “I’ve never quite known life until I’ve owned this building. I feel like a landlord, farmer, and Minecraft advocate all in one little tornado proof cube. If you’ve ever wanted to find Love, buy this. If you’ve ever wanted to find happiness, buy this. If you’ve ever wanted to buy this, maybe buy this? Thank you so much for creating the place that I’ll spend my last days. Life is better with the foldable barn.”
You Can Buy A Tiny Home On Amazon That Comes Equipped With Electricity, Plumbing, And A Front Deck There aren’t too many reviews yet for this home, probably because customers are still trying to wrap their heads around the fact that as long as they’ve got a credit card and an Amazon account, they can have a new house delivered to them in just a few weeks. (Sorry, no Prime overnight option for this purchase!)
However, there is another review on the product page from a customer who is over the moon not just for themselves but for the state of the current real estate market, too.
“Love it,” says one unnamed Amazon reviewer, who gave their new home purchase four stars. “For 69,000 this is a next step to fix the housing crisis.” (We won’t tell them it’s now available for just $35,000.)
If you’re in the market for a different type of modular home or perhaps an office to take remote work to the next level, take a look at some of the other offerings from Barn Home. Prices start at $14,000—and yes, there is free delivery available.
