It’s where we begin and end each day. For this reason, we want and need our bathrooms to be an organized, spa-like retreat that refreshes and energizes, not a disaster of cluttered chaos that leaves us retreating.
“An organized bathroom is a gift you can give yourself every day, and less visual clutter and the ability to locate what you need quickly are the greetings we need at the beginning and end of each day,” says Tara Bremer.

Well-made bathroom organizers that are strategically placed help facilitate these morning and evening processes, plus neatly contain items and products a little better in your bathroom, no matter how much or how little bathroom space you have. We’ve curated a list of bathroom organizers to help you save time and keep your bathroom the respite it should be.
Orig. $22 $19 at Amazon With 25 pieces in four different sizes, these organizers are an ideal value set for the organization they provide. The beauty is also in the customization of this set. Mix and match the pieces inside your bathroom drawers for the exact fit lengthwise or widthwise for the items you need to store. If you end up with fewer items or need an additional tray, just pop one into the drawer and rearrange it.
Clear plastic is a bonus for visibility and allows you to grab that item or product quickly when needed. Although we like the 25-piece set, this set is also available in sets of 15, 25, 37, and 72. Each set includes silicone feet that adhere to the bottom of the organizer and prevent each tray from slipping.
Dimensions: Four sizes included in set: 9 x 5.9 x 2, 9 x 3 x 2, 6 x 3 x 2, and 3 x 3 x 2 inches | Material: Plastic
$28 at The Container Store An in-drawer bathroom organizer can maximize storage potential while also keeping items of different shapes and sizes neatly organized and contained. The savvy organization piece cuts the clutter and mess of a vanity, makeup, or toiletry drawer and allows you to add order to a messy drawer easily.
An additional bonus of this organizer is that it is expandable from 10 to 17 inches wide. Even in a small space like a bathroom drawer, calm and clutter-free can be achieved with a simple, clear organizer that categorizes items. Rubber feet are included to keep the organizer secure.
Dimensions: 10.5 x 10-17 x 2 inches | Material: Plastic
$15 at Amazon Suppose you need space for mid-size items such as hair brushes, combs, hair products, makeup brushes, or cosmetic bottles. These medium-sized stackable tray organizers are made to contain and organize frequently used items. They work well to corral and divide toiletry items and tools inside a cabinet drawer and prevent mixed-up items.
The set includes three organizers, and they can be easily customized for the layout of your drawer. Place them long ways, stack them, or place them side by side to keep a larger drawer tidy.
Additional sizing and quantity options exist for customizing your drawer space in this line of organizers. The clear plastic creates an airy feel with high visibility and is conveniently easy to clean.
Dimensions: 9 x 6 x 2 inches | Material: Plastic
$24 at The Container Store This unique organizer maximizes space by utilizing space in the upper part of a drawer. The acrylic tray has edges that fit onto or over the sides or walls of a drawer which creates another level of space for storing small toiletry items, makeup brushes, or lip glosses.
The tray’s width is expandable from 13 to 20 inches, allowing it to fit most bathroom drawers. It’s easy to install and simply slides down onto the sides of the drawer. No hardware is needed, and it does not obstruct the motion of pulling the drawer out or pushing it in. When installed in a drawer, it slides back and forth, allowing accessibility to the items underneath it. This versatile tray could even be used for small office supplies in a drawer or small utensils in a deeper kitchen drawer for a highly organized space.
Dimensions: 8.25 x 13-20 x 1.4 inches | Material: Acrylic
$17 at Amazon If you love the convenience of a lazy Susan, you’ll want to consider this turntable that levels up the organization game. This circular organizer pulls double duty with a second level over the top of the first level, ensuring visibility and quick accessibility of regularly used items.
Indeed, keeping all of the everyday items you grab often neatly corralled at your fingertips will save you time in the long run, and as a bonus, it looks nice, too, she says. Note that the sides of this turntable are lower at 1.5 inches, so this one might be best for storing smaller items to avoid items flying off or falling over the side when it’s spinning.
With stainless ball bearings, it has a smooth glide as it rotates. If you have the space to add yet another level, there is also an option for a three-tiered turntable.
Dimensions: 9.25 x 8.7 inches | Material: Stainless steel, plastic
$15 at The Container Store This smaller countertop organizer can be a vanity or makeup organizer, keeping smaller cosmetic or regularly needed items like cotton balls, contact lenses, brushes, tweezers, or makeup sponges handy and visible.
We love the size of this organizer. It doesn’t take up too much space but is an ideal size to help stock regularly used items and keep them quickly accessible. This mini organizer includes two pull-out drawers and is slender enough to fit in a standard-size medicine cabinet.
The durable, clear plastic visibility makes it easy to know when items must be refilled or restocked. Since each drawer stacks on top of the first, if you need more storage, stacking a second set on top is easy for two levels of added storage.
Dimensions: 3 x 7 x 4.75 inches | Material: Plastic
$96 at The Container Store A place for everything and everything in its place is the main attraction of this savvy modular storage system. This organizer uses available space, conveniently adding levels and shelves to what would otherwise be wasted space above a countertop.
More upscale storage for your supplies, these clear, stackable organizers save on space and provide stylish, convenient storage for your beauty products. This modular storage starter kit includes two narrow, short open-front bins, one narrow, tall open-front bin, one wide lid, and one wide open-front bin.
Hair dryers, hair tools, hair products, and facial products are visible with the bins' open-front style and put the wasted space above a countertop to good use. The added lip on the front side of each bin creates just enough space to keep items securely stowed in place and prevents them from slipping out. If you’re outfitting a dormitory bathroom, apartment, or small bathroom in general, we give this storage system an A+ for the smart organizational system that it creates.
Dimensions: Short: 14.6 x 7.4 x 5.1 inches; Tall: 14.6 x 7.4 x 9.8 inches; Wide: 14.6 x 14.6 x 7.4 inches | Material: Plastic, metal
Orig. $13 $11 at Amazon Clear canisters for cotton balls, makeup remover pads, or makeup sponges are an elegant yet functional way to store regularly used essentials. This bestselling compact vanity canister elevates the idea of stylishly stocking small essential items. It is divided and offers double the space of a regular canister. Small items can also be stored on top of the canisters thanks to the flat top.
Dimensions: 3.62 x 6.12 x 4.35 inches | Material: Shatter-resistant plastic

Still, it is essential to utilize the space you do have in this particular area. These organizers are made for this space, are useful, and fit around the plumbing.
This set of two organizers is two-tiered, conveniently slides in and out, and allows maximum use of this odd space. Fitting on either side underneath a sink with the plumbing in between, this organizer also utilizes the height of the bathroom cabinet.

The sides of this rotating bath caddy are higher to ensure that items don’t slip out, and a nonslip base rotates for easy access to the contents of the organizer.
Dividers inside the caddy keep items neatly organized but are also removable to free up space if needed. Easily stow this versatile caddy in a cabinet, under the sink, or use it on top of the counter to keep bathroom countertops free of clutter.

Versatility is at its best with this unique storage solution, and the round middle compartment is specifically made to hold a hair dryer in place. The height of the over-door hanger adjusts, providing three different lengths. Place it on the inside or outside of a cabinet door, or consider attaching it to the wall in your bathroom. Mounting hardware is included with the organizer.

The stylish wooden shelf on the top gives this hamper a sophisticated look, so it can even be rolled in as a side table. The locking casters on the bottom ensure the sorter stays ideally in place, and each laundry bag slides out for easy accessibility to aid trips to the laundry room. Although this basket organizer requires some assembly, we appreciate the modern look and upscale design.
Dimensions: 32.3 x 13 x 29.5 inches | Material: Iron, metal, Oxford
$60 at Home Depot If you need more storage in a bathroom, adding a medicine cabinet with a mirror instead of just a standard mirror is an efficient way to add space and shelving to a bathroom. This medicine cabinet includes a frameless mirror with a white cabinet with the flexible option of surface mounting or recessed mounting.
Two shelves are included inside the cabinet and can be adjusted with the double shelf pegs. The medicine cabinet comes fully assembled and ready for installation.
Dimensions: 26 x 16 x 4.5 inches | Material: Glass, wood composite
Orig. $27 $20 at Amazon This small drawer storage unit is one of the most versatile stand-alone organizers. Tuck it under a bathroom sink or place it on the countertop to easily access bathroom necessities.
This organizer has five pull-out drawers made of clear plastic, ensuring visibility of the contents of each drawer. Although this lighter-duty organizer is primarily best for housing lightweight items, it is an easy storage solution when you have a variety of small toiletry or vanity items that need to be clearly visible and quickly accessible.
Dimensions: 7.24 x 8.5 x 11.14 inches | Material: Plastic
Orig. $17 $10 at Amazon Every good and noble bathroom needs a hook or two or three, and most know that hooks are essential for keeping items in a designated spot and off the bathroom floor. These stainless steel double hooks are convenient for hanging towels, robes, washcloths, hair towels, loofahs, or sponges.
They do not require hardware or drilling to install—instead they have a sticky backing that adheres to a bathroom or shower wall. Just be sure to clean the wall or shower space before adhering to ensure it sticks to the surface.
They work best on smooth bathroom surfaces, like tile, marble, and glass. Avoid using them on painted walls, wallpaper, brick, and concrete surfaces. They’re sturdy, holding up to 23 pounds, and the set includes four hooks.
Dimensions: 3.2 x 1.2 x 2.9 inches | Material: Stainless steel
Orig. $60 $17 at Walmart Unfortunately, not all showers have custom ledges or niches. An in-shower organizer is a simple way to keep toiletry items like shampoo, conditioner, soap, and loofahs neatly corralled rather than spread about the shower or on the shower floor.
This corner shower caddy comes as a set of two and creates valuable space at a 90-degree angle in a shower. This caddy requires no drilling, and the setup is easy. The L-shape creates a space-saving design, and the caddy can be attached to the wall with sticky adhesive strips that can withstand 40 pounds of weight.
Since this particular organizer is made for use in the shower, it is crafted from premium stainless steel with a rustproof coating, which is essential in a moisture-rich shower and bathroom. Other bonus organization additions include the convenient snap-on hooks to hang loofahs or washcloths, the snap-on toothbrush holder, and the attachable bar soap holder.
Dimensions: Small: 10 x 4.3 x 2.5 inches; Large: 10.7 x 4.9 x 2.7 inches | Material: Stainless steel
$40 at Amazon $47 at Target An over-the-shower-head organizer is an easy addition to a shower that instantly creates needed compartments for housing shower necessities. Even in the shower, you can create an elevated look with this bamboo shower head organizer.
In many homes, a built-in spot for shampoo bottles is unavailable, and stashing toiletry bottles in a designated area proves challenging. This shower head organizer is an easy fix to that challenge. It’s crafted of sustainable and durable bamboo and features two shelves for stowing bottles. Two hooks for hanging washcloths, sponges, or loofahs are conveniently located at the bottom of the organizer.
Dimensions: 11 x 5.25 x 26.5 inches | Material: Bamboo
Orig. $26 $20 at Amazon If a linen closet is nonexistent in your home or you simply need more space to store towels, this over-the-door towel storage rack is a valuable addition to any bathroom door.
Simply hang the organizer over a door in the bathroom or over a shower panel in a glass shower. Another option with this organizer is to mount it to a wall in the bathroom.
Towels neatly rolled and placed in a towel rack above the toilet or mounted to a wall near the shower are a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution to finding more space to store towels.
Depending on the thickness or size of your towels, the rack is adjustable to find the exact fit you need to accommodate your towel type. It can hold five rolled towels and includes a small storage basket attached to the top of the rack which can be used for smaller bath accessories like a loofah or washcloths.
Dimensions: 7 x 5.1 x 48 inches | Material: Carbon steel
Types When choosing a bathroom organizer, first analyze the space—whether under the bathroom sink, in deep or shallow drawers, in the shower, or on top of the counter—that you’re trying to improve or maximize.
Then, think about the items you need to place in the organizer. If you need storage for larger hair tools, you will want to think about organizers that are large enough to hold these items and accommodate the bulkiness, like the Yigii Hair Tool Organizer. Consider drawer or countertop organizers if you need organization solutions to keep makeup and loose items corralled and categorized.
Size and Capacity When thinking about the items that you will be stowing, it’s essential to measure your space. Use a tape measure to determine the depths, widths, heights, and lengths you’re working with on the countertop, under the sink, or on a wall. Cross-reference the available space measurements with the measurements of the organizer that you are considering, and be sure the size will fit.
It’s also important to analyze the type of items you are trying to house. If they are larger bottles of product or hair tools, be sure the height and width of the organizers will work with the items you plan to store in them. A lazy Susan, like the Adoco 2-Tier Lazy Susan Bathroom Organizer, can be a great storage solution for tall bottles.
Material Although there are various materials, from acrylic to metal to bamboo to plastic, think about the space in which you will be using your organizer. Since a shower is a moisture-rich area, rustproof or bamboo products, like the Basicwise Over the Shower Head Bamboo Organizer, are a better option. If items need to be visible, consider acrylic or clear plastic. You will also want to consider what materials are aesthetically pleasing to you.
How do you organize a bathroom with no counter space? Finding space to store essential items in a bathroom can be challenging for many, especially when there is less counter space than you would like. The good news is it is doable even when extra counter space is unavailable. “It's vital to use the under sink area even if you have extra counter space,” says Bremer.
If you have a small amount of counter space, consider using stackable organizing pieces to keep items in one area rather than dispersed all over the counter. Even if you have ample counter space, it’s useful to store your items in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
What should you store under a bathroom sink? In most cases, the space under a bathroom sink includes plumbing. Bathroom cabinets come in different sizes as well, some have ample room, while others inevitably have a tiny space and limited storage. Regardless of the space under the sink, storing items under the sink can be a smart solution for keeping essentials quickly accessible and avoiding too much clutter on top of the counter space.
“In my own bathroom, I have inexpensive stacking drawers—two drawers for skin care, then one each for hair accessories, nails, dental, and glasses care—under my sink which are all categories of things I use regularly, but I don't need them in my cabinet drawers,” says Bremer.
It may be necessary to store other items, including cleaning supplies, first aid needs, medications, or hair tools. The key is finding the organizer that works best for your needs and the items you need to store.
How can you create space in a bathroom? As hard as it might be to hear this, initiating a thorough edit and decluttering process before organizing is essential to understanding what you need to store and what can be tossed or eliminated. Take it one drawer and one cabinet at a time.
“We all want clever storage so that we can add as much as possible to a space, but if you have a tight bathroom, be honest about what products you're using and which ones you’re not,” says Bremer.
Avoid putting it back under the counter if it is not a product you will use again, and consider recycling, donating, or disposing of the item or product. Rather than feeling guilty about not using the item, consider the purchase a learning opportunity about what doesn’t work for you. “Think, ‘Okay, so now I know that moisturizing shampoo makes my hair weighed down, so I'll never buy that again,’” Bremer says.
