There’s something beautiful and incomparable to the bond between twin siblings. Maybe it’s the fact that they shared a living space for so long — they’re “womb-mates,” if you will. Maybe it’s growing up evenly matched with your often harried parents. Maybe it’s just always having someone to play with. But that brings us to a potential issue: toys for twins. While having a built-in playmate is fun, we have to imagine that some toys share better than others. So we’ve come up with a list of toys for twins that are conducive to cooperative play, sharing, or at least each child having their own version of the same thing.
We wanted to take a few things into account when building this list — a variety of ages and interests, as well as the longevity of these particular toys. As you can imagine, having two kids often means a double stroller and double the stuff, and, over the years, that can get a little chaotic. Many of these toys will be fun for years to come, which keeps mom and dad from having to go out and get more. You can thank us later!
1For Building and Bonding
Your architect duo will unleash their imaginations as they use the clear, colorful magnetic tiles to build castles, pets, patterns, and shapes. And because the possibilities are endless, they’ll enjoy Picasso Tiles for years to come. This set of 100 is perfect for sharing.
2For the Imagination Generation
This charming picnic basket, full of wooden toy food and utensils, is ideal for playing make-believe. It even has a little checkered blanket! What makes this sweet toy perfect for twins is that everything inside comes in pairs (aka no fighting over items).
3Includes Go Fish Card Game
Parents (and other adults) will probably remember playing this game as a kid. Spoilers: It’s just as fun as you remember. Perfect for solo play or competition between twins, the goal is always the same: “Hook” as many of the 21 colorful, biting, spinning fishies as you can.

7Includes Four Books
They may have been born just around the same time, but there’s a good chance they have very different tastes and opinions, so we love Choose Your Own Adventure books for twins — the stories that change depending on the choices you make as a reader.
Perfect for sharing, this box set is fantasy-themed and includes four books and untold possibilities.
8A Creative Way to Have Fun
Mad Libs is always fun, but it is a truth universally acknowledged that it’s more fun with a friend. This book includes 21 fill-in-the-blank stories all about silly fun! It’s a great way to build grammar skills and also giggle over the chaotic use of words like “fart” and “butt.”
9Comes With Furniture
This charming play house has all the room they’ll need to play make believe together and will provide hours of imaginative entertainment. Comprising three stories, five rooms, an elevator and a balcony, it’ll be the site of countless domestic adventures for your twins.

10Comes In Different Finishes
We absolutely love this toy for twins: Not only does this 30-piece set come with everything they’ll need in their imaginary kitchen (down to a phone for the times you want takeout — so relatable) but the design is so chic and sleek, we wish this kitchen came in adult sizes!
11TEMI
This is a great toy for twins who have dreamed of opening a dinosaur park together (what could possibly go wrong?!). It comes complete with nine dinosaurs, five trees, a playmat, and a handy storage case. (And yes, of course there’s a T. rex.)
12Has Parking Spaces for Car Storage
There’s only one thing cooler than cars: super-fast cars that occasionally crash into each other! Four Hot Wheels (that’s two per twin, people!) zip around the hairline turns along 16 feet of motorized track. Will they crash? Of course! But when is the question! This toy will provide hours of fun for your little speed demons.

13Match and Win
One of the fun things about having a twin is always having someone to play board games with! Qwirkle is a modern classic. Players score points by building rows and columns of colored tiles that are either all the same color or all the same shape. Unlike with twins, in this game, you don’t want duplicates!
14Includes Everything They Need
This is a great toy for twins who have an artistic side. The set comes with three porcelain vases (one per twin plus an extra, maybe to do together) and paint. Oven-bake for a glossy finish that will make their projects pop.
15Multiples for Multiples
If twins teach us one thing, it’s that multiples are the best! And we think the two of them have cuddles enough for six plush, hand-sewn, diverse baby dolls. The set comes with six dolls in mix-and-match sack dresses in a soft basket.

16Includes Two Cars
These cars will provide hours of outside entertainment: Just attach the two cars to the nozzles, stomp on the end, and watch them speed off.
Did we mention the fact that it comes with two cars? That’s one for each kid! No fighting! Plenty of options to play together alone! It’s the perfect toy for twins.
17Fun On the Farm
We love this sweet little barn, which comes with one farmer figure, four animal figures, and two food play pieces. With multiple play points and activities, as well as dozens of songs and phrases across three Smart Stage levels, we have no doubt this set will provide hours of fun.
18Highly Rated on Amazon
This set of two LED soccer balls hovers over hardwood, tile, asphalt, and short carpeting. It’s perfect for indoor and outdoor play (don’t worry — the foam bumpers keep little feet and furniture safe) and guarantees fun no matter the weather!

A moving target’s hard to hit… but it’s also really fun, especially when you make it competitive with two foam ball shooters! Easy to assemble and a blast to play (literally!) this is a great toy for twins for either solo, cooperative, or competitive play.
