At the end of August, a customer from India inquired for solar water pump with head of 70 meters. Then I quoted him solar water pump accordingly by email. The whole process was progressed successfully. He agreed with my quotation and asked me to quoted the shipping freight to South Africa-his hometown. I did it, USD153 total and made a proforma invoice of solar pump system 5hp to him, everything went well.

However, after he checked my solar pump system 5hp PI, he queried me by email, said that “Rush, Its seems you are adding amounts to make more money. See first quote of solar pump system 5hp. Why did you add 153 USD to latest proforma. I have just bought a machine from Shanghai and they didn’t charged me any shipping fee to South Africa. Because what the price I quoted him was EXW price rather than FOB price, and I suppose that the company from Shanghai had add the freight into the price already. Then I wrote a long email to him to explain the details that USD153 including the domestic shipping freight, warehouse fee and the document fee from the forwarders. I did not add additional fee to make more profit. After reading my explanation, he expressed his understanding and expressed his strong willing to cooperate with us.

Misunderstanding can be resolve, mistake can be amend, business can be restart, but once you lose you credibility, you can never establish yourself in society.
