High temperature and high pressure steam passes through fixed nozzle and becomes accelerated air flow, and then it is sprayed onto the blade to make the rotor with blade row rotate and work externally at the same time. Steam turbine is the main equipment of modern thermal power plant. It is also used in metallurgical industry, chemical industry and marine power plant.

Operating of Steam Turbine

Steam turbine is an external combustion rotary machine that can convert steam heat energy into mechanical work. After the steam from the boiler enters the steam turbine, it passes through a series of annular nozzles and moving blades in turn, converting the heat energy of the steam into mechanical energy for the rotation of the steam turbine rotor.
